The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At Relay, teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length. |

Thousands of schools--nearly a quarter of all schools in the United States--have joined The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s School & Youth Programs.
Learning, fun, meaningful service, and cooperative team work are just a few of the benefits of this program. With donations brought in, McDade ISD will be helping to provide research to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Our support will help make a difference in millions of lives touched by blood cancers, like leukemia, which causes more deaths than any other cancer among children and young adults under the age of 20. |
